The whale shark is completely harmless to humans, it is actually a very docile and curious creature. The Whale Shark swims very slowly on the surface which makes it easy and relaxing to swim with them.

Swim with the Whale Shark

The swim with the Whale Sharkswill be formed 2 people at all time accompanied by a certified guide. Once in the water with the whale sharks, we must respect the following rules:

It is forbidden to swim with the Whale Sharks without a life jacket or flotation device.
Swimmers must remain at least 6 feet from the Whale Shark and you are not allowed to touch or hold it at all.
Do Not Interfere with the movements of the Whale Shark by putting yourself in front of him.
Do not make sudden movements in the water when we are close to the whale shark.

Understanding the Body Language of the Whale Shark:

The whale sharks are very clear if we annoy or making them feel uncomfortable. This will be done as follows::
- By turning in the opposite direction to you.
- Increasing his speed of swimming.
- Diving into deeper waters.

Tour Schedule

The Tour begins with a pick up at your hotel.
The hour of your pick up depends on the location of your hotel.

South of Playa Del Carmen	5:50 am	* We will confirm the exact time of pick up when you have completed your reservation.
Playa del Carmen	6:10 am
Cancún	7:30 am

At 08:00 reach Punta Sam in the North East of Cancun where we climb aboard the boat. The trip from Cancun to the area where we will snorkel with the whale sharks is about 50 minutes by speedboat. Once in the area, we snorkel with the Whale Sharksand Manta Rays for 3 hours or so. Later we will go to Isla Contoy for an ecological tour where we can admire dolphins, turtles, flamingos and natural beauty of the island from the Boat. (We do not descend on the island).

After Touring Contoy Island by boat we will go snorkeling on a reef in the Caribbean Sea near Isla Mujeres. At the end of the snorkeling a shrimp cocktail (ceviche) awaits you aboard the boat. After eating the ceviche we will return to Punta Sam. We arrive back at Punta Sam at approximately 14:00 and one hour later we leave it at your hotel.
